Training and Background

I trained in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at the Toronto Institute for Contemporary Psychoanalysis (TICP), and am a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).

I practice as a Registered Psychotherapist in Toronto and see clients both virtually and in person.

I am also a former lawyer, having worked in criminal defence for almost a decade and then as an adjudicator at the Refugee Protection Division.

I have a Masters of Environmental Studies from York University, researching Buddhism, food activism and sustainable agriculture.

              My Approach

My approach is psychodynamic, relational and trauma-informed.

I offer a type of talk therapy, taking place once or twice a week, providing a space to explore one’s mind, history, and how one relates to others. This work is relationship driven and responsive to the needs of each client. It offers individuals an opportunity to examine what feels stuck, and what it is they want. Building self awareness helps to identify constraints so as to better the chances for a full and useful life.

My previous work as a lawyer and adjudicator informs my work with individuals vis a vis their community, social and structural experiences.
